Apprenticeships

Pre-Apprenticeships: YouthBuild

YouthBuild Spokane is a registered pre-apprenticeship program for young adults ages 18-24 who want to earn their GED or High School Diploma and learn valuable career skills. NEWESD 101 operates the program and partners with the Next Generation Zone's GED classroom to provide the unique training experience.

Students select between construction, advanced manufacturing, or healthcare tracks.

Training includes:

  • An industry-recognized certification
  • Hands-on work experience
  • A monthly financial stipend
  • Wrap-around staff support

Our goal is for every YouthBuild participant to leave the program with a job or enrolled in post-secondary education.

Short-Term Training & Certifications

Many industry-focused training programs range from 1-18 months and provide an industry-recognized credential upon successful completion. You can elevate your employment portfolio and pursue higher-level positions if certified with a specific skillset.

Various health care, manufacturing, information technology (IT), and professional-level training can be provided at a low-cost.
